RE’AL Tiki Cocktails

The RE'AL Tiki Cocktail Challenge took place in the Morgan Hotel, Temple Bar, Dublin on Tuesday 7th July 2015.

Eighteen bartenders from all over Ireland competed to win €1000. All competitors had to make their own creative twist on a traditional Pina Colada.

Seven bartenders made it through to the final where they were given access to a pantry containing all sorts of fruits, vegetables, juices, liqueurs, spirits and RE'AL Infused Syrups.

The overall winner was Kevin Kennedy from Hotel Westport, Co. Mayo who scooped the €1000 top prize. Prizes were presented by Steve Dingley, Brand Manager Northern Europe, American Beverage Marketers and Deirdre Byrne, Brand Ambassador, Richmond Marketing, Ireland.

Eddie Rudzinskas from the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan won Best Tiki Cocktail (round 2) & Eoin O'Neill from the The Reg in Waterford won Best Twisted Pina Colada (Round 1), each received €250.

The competition was organised by the Bartenders Association of Ireland and sponsored by RE'AL Infused Syrups distributed in Ireland by Richmond Marketing.

Overall Winner was Kevin Kennedy of Hotel Westport, County Mayo.

'Factor Fifty' - 50ml pineapple and pink peppercorn infused Bacardi Carta Oro, 30ml Coco RE'AL,

5ml Ginger RE'AL, 15ml lime juice, 10ml Mozart Dry, 7.5ml Blue Curacao, Pinch sea salt, 4 dashes lime zest and chilli tincture. Served over crushed ice, served in paradise.

'Oh MAI TAI Deliah'

5cl Appleton 12yr Old Rum, 1.5cl Pumpkin RE'AL, .5cl Ginger RE'AL, 2.5cl Fresh Lime juice,

1cl Giffard Orgeat, 1cl Giffard Vanilla Liqueur, 3 dashes Angostura bitters.

Shake & serve over crushed ice in a coconut tiki mug.
